about

Co-write with my good friend, Rustin Smith. I pretty much had written most of the lyric and liked it so much, I was having hard time coming up with music that I liked. As I sat in the room, Rustin came up with the music in about 15 minutes.

lyrics

Gypsy Heart

Too wide-eyed for the jaded
Too cynical for the blessed
Too cautious for the fearless
Too dangerous for the rest

You can't say this
Don't say that
If I can't say anything...

I will sing what is real
I will try to be true
I will sing what I feel
And not what I ought to

Too holy for the heathens
Too sinful for the saints
Too hopeful to be enlightened
Too curious for those of faith

You can't say this
Don't say that
If I can't say anything...

I will sing what is real
I will try to be true
I will sing what I feel
And not what I ought to

I could take a feather to your ear
Or I could tell you what you want to hear but...

I can't say this
I won't say that
if I can't say anything...

I will sing what is real
I will try to be true
I will sing what I feel
And not what I ought to

(But only 2 beautiful girls can call me that, and you’re not either of them!) It's thoughtful-pop. ... more
